Leadership Development at Winter Camp
- Counselors, CITs, and LITs arrive on Monday, December 29th at 10am for a chance to reconnect, train, and prepare our hearts, minds, and facilities to serve our campers.
- AITs arrive with campers on December 30th at 3pm.
Program Cost:
Counselors-in-Training: $50
Leaders-in-Training: $85
Assistants-in-Training: $125
The registration fees for our young leaders helps to cover the cost of their food and training at camp to provide the highest quality program possible.
- Counselors: Hired staff who have gone through our summer camp training and return for another week of fun in the winter.
- CITs: Counselors-in-Training are 16 and 17 years old who desire to become counselors. They attend staff training and are paired with two counselors in a cabin with campers. Registration links will be sent directly to eligible CIT families. Email office@montgomerycenter.org for the link.
- LITs: Leaders-in-Training are 15 and 16 years old, learning more leadership skills that they may use at home and in the world. LITs join in staff training for Winter Camp, but stay in a cabin with other LITs and AITs to further develop their skills as they lead campers in certain activities.
- AITs: Assistants-in-Training are our newest and youngest cohort of the Leadership Development Program, aged 14 and 15. These campers will stay with LITs and serve the program both behind the scenes with activity set up, and helping to lead campers in games and activities.
